Road Safety and Children with Special Educational Needs

Researchers from University College London, University of the West of England (Bristol), and University of Nottingham are collaborating on a research project to explore the risk of road traffic injury in children with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, sensory impairments, and cerebral palsy.

We want to hear from parents/caregivers of children with special education needs about their views and concerns about their children’s road safety knowledge and behaviour. This is really important to us because your views will inform our research project. We want to make sure the questions we are asking with our research reflect the concerns of parents/caregivers of children with special educational needs.

Please share your views by completing our short online survey. The survey should take no longer than 5-10 minutes to complete. All of your answers will be anonymous and confidential.

If you have any questions or concerns about this survey then please contact Dr Sarah O’Toole at
